AFBN Cheerleading Course

Leadership Award / Level 1 zaterdag 17 november 2018

Duration One day - 6hrs

This practical and theoretical course focuses on leadership skills including:

Warm Up & Stretch Activities,
Health & Safety,
Communication,
Attitude,
Motivation,
Team-Building,
Choreography.

Successful participants will receive a Leadership Award Certificate of Qualification enabling them to assist their qualified Coach or Teacher with the delivery of Cheer and Dance activities.

From/to: 10.00 – 16.00 hour

Lunch Break: 12.30 – 13.30 hour

Foundation Cheerleading Skills

Foundation Cheerleading Skills / Level 2 zondag 18 november 2018

Duration One day - 6hrs

An introduction to Cheerleading, covering Cheer and Dance skills plus stunting.

This predominantly practical course is supported by theoretical understanding and incorporates:

Coaching Skills,
Lesson Planning & Session Structure,
Health & Safety,
Warm Up, Stretch & Cool Down Activities,
Body Preparation & Strength Training,
Cheerleading Vocal Skills,
Cheer Arm Motions,
Cheer Jump Technique,
Stunt Technique and Progressions (up to and including 2 Layers & 2 High),
Choreography,
Successful participants demonstrating an active understanding of the course content will receive a Foundation Stunt Skills Certificate of Qualification.

From/to: 10.00 – 16.00 hour

The costs for this Tutorial & Workshop is € 20,– p.p. The ticket price will also provide free entrance to the AFBN Christmas Spirit Day later that day.

You can register up to 9 December 2018 An invoice will be sent to your e-mail address via paybylink. The payment needs to be fulfilled prior to the event. You are able to cancel up to 48 hours prior to the event. If the cancellation is within 48 hours of the event you will forfeit your refund

The workshop is given by Sophie Boyle. She is one of the Head Coaches of Team UK.

Sophie Louise Boyle:
Programme director and head coach of clarets cheer and dance I am a hiphop dancer and urban cheer coach with over 8 years experience with myself and my team competing nationally and international. My teams are all ECC Europeans urban cheer champions and have been previously in the past few years. I am Also the TEAM UK coach for the first ever urban cheer category at IFC worlds in Japan next year. I love coaching and meeting new teams and people and I am very excited for my trip to the Netherlands.
