The Gridiron Eredivisie has two undefeated teams with Utrecht Dominators and Amsterdam Crusaders. Both teams meet next Sunday in Utrecht in a direct duel for the throne. Amsterdam Crusaders joined the unbeaten teams last week by beating Groningen Giants 21-49. The game was a rematch of last season's Tulip Bowl. Groningen, like in that final, was able to keep up until halftime, but had to let go of the reigning champion in the second half.

A preview of Utrecht Dominators - Amsterdam Crusaders can be found here.

Besides the Eredivisie game between Dominators and Crusaders, there will also be a game on Saturday night. Lightning Leiden will play its first game of the season, meeting Arnhem Falcons. The Falcons try to battle the Lightning with an 0-1 record, after losing to the Dominators earlier this season. Lightning is coming off a disappointing season, failing to reach the finals for the first time in three seasons. The ambitions are still there in the Key City, as can be read in this article with head coach Wesley Kuils.

Eerste divisie

In the first division, two 0-1 teams play against two 1-0 teams. The Rotterdam Trojans, after beating Maastricht Wildcats in the opening round, now go up to West Frisian Outlaws. Rotterdam is not thinking lightly about the match, as can be read in the preview at Gridiron. Hilversum Hilversum hosts the Wildcats with a 1-0 record of its own. Both games kick off Sunday at 2 p.m.
